Bishop Dr. Chris Holmes is the founder and Senior Pastor of World Deliverance Outreach Ministries in Mesa, Arizona. Bishop Holmes is joined in leadership with his wife of 25+ years Lady Trey Holmes. Our leaders have a heart to reach out to our city and the world with the good news. They desire for people to hear the life transforming message of Jesus, and to know “you were born to win, and not to lose.”

 

The third youngest of seven children, Bishop Dr. Chris Holmes was raised in a loving home and a holiness church. Throughout his youth, though, he fell away from God and had several close encounters with death. It was in 1996, though, he had a life-changing experience with God. It was then that he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior.

 

Bishop Chris received his calling from the Lord to be a preacher in 1998. And it was at that moment his ministry was birthed. Under the leadership of Pastor Marvin N. Miles of the International Gospel Center in Ecorse, Michigan, he became a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel. At his home church, he served faithfully as an usher, Sunday School teacher and parking lot attendant. Along with his ministerial responsibilities, he also served as the overseer of the youth mentoring program Sons of David, as Youth Pastor and as an armor bearer to his pastor.

 

In August of 2007, the Lord led Bishop Holmes to found World Deliverance Outreach Ministries in Tempe, Arizona. Beginning this ministry with only his wife Trey, their small children and a few other church members, this fellowship of believers has impacted their community for Christ, growing into a formal membership of over 250 members.

 

Bishop Chris Holmes holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Davenport University. He also completed seminary studies at Word of Faith Christian Center. In February 2017, Bishop Holmes became the first African-American chaplain for the Mesa Police Department in Mesa, Arizona. And on November 11, 2017, Pastor Chris Holmes was elevated to the office of Bishop.

 

God has given Bishop Holmes a tremendous vision to establish churches with an emphasis on using outreach to win souls and bring deliverance to a lost and dying world. He shares a wonderful life with his lovely wife Trey, and their three children, Chris Jr. and wife Krystal; Branden; and Junia, all whom he loves very much.
